If you’re craving an unforgettable tonkatsu experience at Haneda Airport Terminal 3, Katsusen is the place to go!

Tonkatsu is a classic Japanese dish—pork cutlet coated in panko breadcrumbs, fried to crispy, golden perfection with a juicy interior. Katsusen offers a range of tonkatsu dishes, with their signature Chura-shima Agu pork, a premium breed from Okinawa, stealing the show as their star menu item.

This restaurant feels upscale for an airport setting, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Even during the busy summer travel season, it’s easy to get a seat with no wait time, making it a stress-free dining experience.

The menu includes English and other foreign-language options, so ordering is a breeze for international travelers. From the variety of tonkatsu dishes, I went for the luxurious Chura-shima Agu Pork Loin Katsu Set (3,450 yen).

The set arrived with a beautifully presented tonkatsu, finely shredded cabbage, a small side of pickled vegetables, red miso soup, and a special salt for seasoning the katsu. You can also opt for a larger serving of rice, perfect for those with a hearty appetite!

The tonkatsu was a sight to behold—thick, juicy pork encased in a golden, crispy coating that instantly made my mouth water.

The cabbage was delicately shredded and paired with a sesame dressing that was absolutely divine. Crisp and refreshing, it was the perfect complement to the rich tonkatsu.

I started with the restaurant’s recommended salt, and wow—the thick cut was incredibly tender, bursting with the sweet, juicy flavor of Agu pork. The salt enhanced the meat’s natural umami, creating a simple yet deeply satisfying taste.

Next, I tried it with classic tonkatsu sauce. The rich sauce clung to the crispy coating and juicy pork, making every bite so delicious I couldn’t stop eating rice! It’s the ultimate tonkatsu experience.
Japan’s tonkatsu culture is a must-try! Katsusen’s Chura-shima Agu Pork Loin Katsu Set is a feast for both the eyes and taste buds. When you’re at Haneda Airport Terminal 3, make sure to savor this incredible dish!
