Located inside Haneda Airport Garden, directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3, Shoya is a beloved Japanese izakaya (pub-style restaurant) that’s been serving delicious food since the Showa era. Their skilled chefs prepare fresh sashimi, hearty stews, and perfectly grilled yakitori — all made by hand with seasonal ingredients.

The menu is huge! You’ll find sashimi, yakitori, tempura, sushi, and tons of side dishes. It’s so much fun just deciding what to order — every page brings excitement!

The drink selection is just as impressive: beer, sour cocktails, highballs, shochu, and sake. Whether you want something classic or seasonal, they’ve got you covered.

We started with draft beer (¥580). Hanging out with coworkers, laughing and clinking glasses — nothing beats that first cold sip! The foam is creamy, and the taste is super refreshing.

Japanese-style summer vegetable pickles (¥580): tomato, eggplant, and baby corn. The colors are beautiful, and the light, tangy flavor pairs perfectly with beer. A great palate cleanser!

Seafood salad (¥750): shrimp, octopus, salmon, and tuna. So fresh and tasty! The light dressing keeps everything balanced — perfect if you want something healthy.

Motsu stew (¥450): tender beef offal simmered in rich, savory broth. Warm, comforting, and perfect with drinks. A true izakaya classic.

Whole pickled cucumber (¥390): crunchy, simple, and addictive. You’ll keep reaching for more!

Yakitori 5-skewer platter (¥980): thigh, tsukune (chicken meatball), cartilage, gizzard, and tail. Grilled over charcoal — super smoky and juicy. Each piece has its own texture and flavor. Choose tare (sweet soy sauce) or salt!

Flathead fish tempura (¥300): crispy outside, soft and flaky inside. Amazing value — you’ll probably order seconds!

Mixed satsuma-age fish cake (¥650): packed with veggies and seafood. Eat it with fresh ginger — the spicy kick makes it even better!

Jingisukan (¥800): Hokkaido’s famous lamb and vegetable grill. Juicy meat + sweet onions = pure happiness. Tastes like a mini trip to Hokkaido!

French fries (¥500): crispy outside, fluffy inside. Simple, but everyone fights over the last one!

Fried chicken (¥650): hot, juicy, and perfectly crispy. Goes amazingly well with beer — a must-order!

To finish: yakisoba stir-fried noodles (¥700). The smoky sauce and chewy noodles are the perfect way to end the night.
If you have time before your flight, or just want to kick off your trip with great food and drinks, Shoya is the place to be. With its retro Showa vibe, huge menu, and friendly atmosphere, it’s perfect for hanging out with friends or coworkers. Highly recommended!
